MY JOY
There are lots of things that bring me joy, some of which include: catching up with friends, spending time with family, spending time outdoors in nature, hiking, camping, traveling to new places, painting, trying new coffee shops or restaurants, helping at church, spending time with kiddos, coaching and playing volleyball, and thunderstorms!
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT FRIENDS
So far, what I love about Friends is the community. I love that all the parents I have met are super kind and supportive, and the staff is very encouraging and caring. I love that everyone prays for one another and genuinely cares about how you are doing each day! Also, the kiddos are all adorable!
FAVORITE SPOT ON CAMPUS
My favorite spot on campus right now is the Chapel building. I love how open and beautiful it is, and that it’s on the older side. The stained glass is stunning as well!
FAVORITE FRIENDS TRADITION
I have not yet experienced many, if any, Friends traditions yet although so far I love that chapel is integrated once a week for all classes. I’m excited to experience more traditions though.
BEST TEACHING MOMENT
My best teaching moment at Friends so far, even though I have only been at school for a week, is teaching the 1st graders in my class how to draw and paint a pumpkin. They found so much joy in it, and I got to do two of the things I love while also working with kids!
