For 50 years, Friends Christian School (FCS) has served as a beacon of faith-based learning, transforming the lives of students in Orange County. As enrollment increases and public school challenges rise, the demand for Christian education outpaces our capacity.
That’s why we are launching the Imagine Campaign—to build a state-of-the-art Student Center that will allow us to grow, serve more families, and provide a truly exceptional Christ-centered education.

We believe God has great things in store for Friends Christian School, and you have a role in making this vision a reality. The Imagine Campaign aims to raise $5M from the FCS community towards our new Student Center. We’re thrilled to be partnering with Friends Church who is generously providing an additional $10M towards this shared space. Imagine being a part of this story—watching the doors of the new Student Center open…the joy of seeing students and families experiencing this new space for the first time. What does the Imagine Campaign mean for the future of Friends Christian School? It means providing the space and resources our students need to thrive, today and for generations to come.
The Imagine initiative is more than a campaign—it’s a reflection of how God is working in the lives of our students and families. Through every testimony, you’ll see how faith, perseverance, and purpose are building a stronger future for our community.
We are asking everyone who loves FCS—current families, past parents, alumni, faculty, staff, board members, community leaders—to join us in making a two-year pledge to Imagine. If 100% of our people pledge, we can make this vision a reality! Will you join us?
The initial round of pledges will be received by the church and school beginning in October and ending in March. Once funding is secured, plans for the project will be submitted to the City of Yorba Linda. City approval will likely take several months so final approval and groundbreaking will likely occur in Spring or Summer of 2026. The building will then be finished and ready for use sometime during the 2026/27 school year.
From the point of project conception, the leadership of Friends Church and Friends Christian School have worked together to plan and execute this project. This partnership will continue as both organizations work together to fully fund and build the new student center. Once completed, both the church and school will share the space to support both programs.
K-8 class sizes at FCS are currently kept at 24 or 25 students (22 students or less for kindergarten). The school’s leadership and board have been committed to such class sizes for the past 8 years and there are no plans to expand class enrollment. The building of the new student center will not result in larger class sizes.
Aside from adjustments to entrance/egress and some outdoor activities, there will be no impact on the school’s educational program or the church’s youth programs. This construction project will not require students to be relocated and will not impact daily classroom instruction.
The school and church have options for the relocation of the hockey rink on campus. While no decision has yet been made, the school’s hockey program and partnership with the Anaheim Ducks is a valued part of our program.
Any homeschool hybrid program would be run separately from the school’s five day program, including separate classroom facilities and a separate teaching staff. This program would be designed to reach families outside of our existing program.
Both the school and church are committed to being wise stewards of funds raised and to only move forward if a viable path based on sufficient funding is in place. For the school side, funds given to the campaign will be treated as designated donations and will not be put toward other purposes outside of the campaign.
