Started in February 2020 as an IA in first grade. (Had been an IA and sub in 2009 for 3 years)
MY JOY
My family brings me joy! I love hanging out with them and truly enjoy their company. I love to travel and explore different places with them. We took our family to Europe for three weeks in 2018. It was the best trip!
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT FRIENDS
I love the environment and people at FCS. When I walk on campus I feel the love of Jesus surrounding me. It’s exciting to be able to teach my students about Jesus and how to have a personal relationship with HIm. The staff, parents and students are a joy to get to know and make coming to work a pleasure. I love FCS!
FAVORITE SPOT ON CAMPUS
I love chapel on campus. I love that we get to have chapel every week and worship God all together. There is nothing like watching the students at Friends praise the Lord.
FAVORITE FRIENDS TRADITION
My favorite Friends tradition is Bible awards. I love how excited the students get when they receive one. They work hard memorizing the verses so its nice to see them rewarded for hiding God’s Word in their heart.
BEST TEACHING MOMENT
I think one of my best teaching moments this year is when I was teaching Bible and we were talking about how to share God’s word with others. My students were sitting on the floor and we were discussing the who, what, where, when and hows of sharing God’s love. My students amazed me with their ideas, their heart for others and the love they have for Jesus. They are truly a blessing!
FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE (OR LIFE VERSE)
I have many Bible verses that are my favorite. I think right now my favorite is Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
BEST MEMORY AT FRIENDS
My kids attending preschool through 8th grade here at Friends. We had so many fun field trips and chapels.
