MY JOY
I absolutely love to travel with my family, we have been so many places and with 4 kids, it always makes for an interesting adventure along with many memories. I also find so much joy in teaching. I have been so blessed with the most amazing students and am always so excited to come to ‘work’ everyday and see my students. I learn something new myself everyday and they all bring me so much joy.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT FRIENDS
I love the families, staff and above all my students. The families and staff at Friends have been so incredibly kind and welcoming. I feel so great leaving everyday because I am surrounded by such positive, God-centered people. Everyone here makes my job so much easier, and my students are like my own children, they give the best hugs and make me laugh every day!
FAVORITE SPOT ON CAMPUS
The playground, because I get to see my students in another element; my classroom because we have made it feel like home to us and the Chapel because this is where we all come together and worship the Lord.
FAVORITE FRIENDS TRADITION
I don’t have any traditions yet, but I look forward to creating many!
BEST TEACHING MOMENT
I still am a big believer in manners and old traditions, so I have my students line up ladies first for everything. At first the boys are not fans of always being together in the back of the line, but over time I see them allowing the girls to go first in other occasions, not complaining about it and being better behaved. Because of this, the girls get to sit next to each other during Chapel and the boys get to sit together. It brings me joy to see such little things making a difference in their lives and have an impact on their future selves.

BEST MEMORY AT FRIENDS
Meet the Teacher Day! I was like a little kid on Christmas, waiting for each of my students to walk through the door and give them big hugs!

I was a substitute teacher and IA at Friends for a year and a half before becoming a full-time teacher!
