MY JOY
My joy comes from Jesus and all of the blessings that I see in my life because of my faith. My son, daughter, and husband bring me joy each day and I love spending time with family and friends. Serving others, hiking, music, the beach, art and photography, and baseball also bring me joy!
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT FRIENDS
I love being able to share the connection of faith and Jesus with the kids as our hope and answer. I really enjoy seeing kids realize how much they are loved!
FAVORITE SPOT ON CAMPUS
I really love being up near the hockey rink when all of the white and purple flowers are blooming! It is beautiful and a reminder of God’s love.
FAVORITE FRIENDS TRADITION
One of my favorite traditions is the PR’s because it is an opportunity to recognize and focus on the positive in every kid. One of my other favorite Friends traditions is hearing the kindergartners pray at chapel! They are so brave, honest, and sweet!
BEST TEACHING MOMENT
We have amazing teachers at Friends- my kids have loved all of their teachers and I love working with every teacher as we figure out the best way to support and serve every kid and family.
FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE (OR LIFE VERSE)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
BEST MEMORY AT FRIENDS
One of my best memories at Friends was during the 2020-2021 school year I was out at every lunch helping to clean and we would sing praise songs and dance for Jesus even during a challenging year. We still have singing and dance parties every Friday!
OTHER ROLES PREVIOUSLY AT FRIENDS
I was a counselor in a private counseling practice in Colorado before moving here. I enjoyed working with kids, adolescents, and their parents. Prior to becoming a counselor, I was a middle school teacher for ten years. I am so thankful for how God uses me.
