Spring is in full effect and our students at Friends Christian Preschool recently celebrated in a big way! Their annual Spring Fling celebration was full of smiles, laughter, fun and learning. The reason for all the festivities is for our students to focus on the beauty of God’s creation during springtime. From the bright colors of blooming flowers to growing plants to exploring bugs and insects.
Each class was given designated time to enjoy the many activities planned during Spring Fling. Each activity station embarked on an element of learning requiring many of the fine motor skills that our students are working on daily, as well as physical and mental expertise.
Activities also sparked a great level of creativity and imagination.
Friends Christian Preschool students learned about earthworms, and even got to see them up close and personal. Additionally they learned the elements needed to make lemonade from scratch—taste testing was involved. Other activities included sensory stations (touch, smell, observation), bubbles, caterpillar toss, lawn mowing, painting with water bottles, dress up, and building with cardboard boxes— to name a few!
Our preschoolers were engaged in fun and learning while exploring flowers, plants and bugs in a new way! We encourage you to do the same! Enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. Happy Spring!
