Our Classrooms
Preschool 2
Our youngest students are introduced to basic concepts such as shapes, colors, letters, counting and exploring their world. Creative art projects fuel a child’s imagination, while developing important fine motor skills. Music and movement, plus both free and organized play, give growing children the healthy daily physical activity they need to strengthen their bodies. This is when children start to understand routines and schedules, and develop friendships.
Preschool 3
Advanced key concepts including sorting, patterning, sequencing and recognizing letters are introduced starting at age three. Outdoor activities, along with music and movement, continue to refine a child’s gross motor skills. Children now begin to engage in cooperative play and are becoming more independent. It is in this class where students demonstrate emergent reading skills, understand math vocabulary, concepts and directed activities, as well as problem solving.
Pre-Kindergarten (4)
Older preschoolers are learning skills and tools needed to be successful in kindergarten. Children learn and recognize upper and lower case letters, as well as the specific sound each letter makes. Students can visually recognize 8 basic colors, basic shapes, sequences three pictures and can cut on line in all basic shapes. Advanced motor skills like skipping, hopping, balancing, bouncing a ball, and catching are reinforced through perception class. Children begin to follow multiple step directions, as well as become more independent in their work.
Junior Kindergarten
This class is a high-quality, flexible program that serves as a bridge between the pre-kindergarten class and the elementary school experience for learners in the year before they start kindergarten. Our Junior Kindergarten class easily transitions from a more play-based, child-directed approach to more structured routines with the ability to differentiate academic learning while inspiring curiosity, creativity and active learning. STEM inspired tasks are incorporated throughout the year where students engage monthly teamwork, problem solving and engineering tasks as well as science labs and experiments forming Hypothesis and testing the outcome.
