Are you looking for a new private preschool option in Garden Grove? Earlier this year Friends Christian School made plans to develop a new Garden Grove Preschool location. Well, the time is here and the doors are open! Friends Christian School’s new Garden Grove Preschool is officially open and we are so excited to welcome a brand new class of students.

Friends Christian Preschool Garden Grove Leadership
Allison Reiter, Preschool Director at the new Garden Grove Preschool location, taught Pre-K for four years at the Yorba Linda campus, and now her new role as the Preschool Director at Friends Christian Preschool Garden Grove marks her 5th year at Friends. She has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education through Cal Baptist University, and has taken additional administration classes for her new role as Director.

We recently spoke with our new Garden Grove Preschool Director, Allison Reiter, who shared details on the new Friends Christian Preschool location and what she wants parents to know and understand about this special preschool program for their children.
How did Friends Christian Preschool Garden Grove come to be?
AR: Friends Christian Preschool Garden Grove (FCPSGG) came to be through a conversation between our Head of School, Todd, and the Lead Pastor at Garden Grove Friends Church, Ryan. Todd was going around to the surrounding Friends Churches in Orange County to talk to them about Friends Christian School. When he came to Garden Grove Friends Church, the leadership expressed that they currently had a preschool on their campus that was shutting down, and they would be willing to re-open a new garden grove preschool with the Friends Christian School name. After frequent conversations, prayer, and much planning, we all felt that God was calling our school to expand its ministry to the Garden Grove community!
Why Garden Grove?
AR: Garden Grove is home to Garden Grove Friends Church. As a school we partner with a Friends Church to do ministry together, and now God has allowed that ministry to expand out of our two campuses in Yorba Linda and into Garden Grove.
In what ways will Friends Christian Preschool Garden Grove impact its new incoming students?
AR: First and foremost, at Friends Christian Preschool Garden Grove, we desire to impact children spiritually. We want students to learn who Christ is and what He did for them on the cross. In turn, we want to teach them how to live their life for Christ in everything that they do. Another way we want to impact our students is to give them the academic foundation that they need to be prepared for the rest of their educational life. We want to inspire our preschoolers to love school and want to come and learn in a fun and safe environment.
What would you like parents looking for a new garden grove preschool to know about FCPSGG?
AR: We want parents to know that their children will be kept safe and will be loved through their time here at our school. We are big on safety for our students and we want to create a loving environment for the students and families that we serve.
In what ways do you think attending a private Christian preschool benefits children?
AR: Attending a private Christian preschool benefits children in many ways! At the preschool level, your child is not only learning their development skills, but they are also learning about Christ at a young age! Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” If we start instilling the love of Christ and foundation of his wisdom and love at an early age, then as they grow older they will remember what they were taught at that age and preschool is the perfect place to build that foundation.
What is your hope and vision for Friends Christian Preschool Garden Grove?
AR: My hope and vision for FCPSGG is to reach students in the community to teach them about Christ and prepare them for the rest of their educational career. Preschool is such a special time for children to learn how to socialize, how to thrive in a structured school setting, and how to do basic tasks that they will use for the rest of their lives. I truly believe that here at Friends Christian Preschool Garden Grove we have an amazing staff, curriculum, and program that work together to help prepare students for the rest of their lives.
AR: “My prayer for the students coming into Friends Christian Preschool Garden Grove is that they would feel safe and loved as they step onto our campus each day. I pray that they will learn about Jesus Christ and what He did for them on the cross. I pray that they would learn all the developmental skills that they need before entering Kindergarten; and I pray that we would not only impact our students but also their families and the surrounding community!”
Meeting the Needs of Your Family
Full-day programs (M-F | M/W/F | T, TH) are available to all students at Friends Christian Preschool’s new Garden Grove preschool location. The campus is open from 7:00AM to 6:00PM. during the regular school year. Children ages 2 to 5 will be able to take advantage of a variety of fun and unique programs! Highly qualified and credentialed teachers and support staff provide a quality Christ-centered curriculum from a biblical worldview.
